Taking Pictures
With your host, Charles

Below are some of my favorite pictures, now available in a plethora of sizes, perfect for editing, gawking at, or placing as your desktop picture on your computer. All of these are my own silly photographs, taken around town, and now available to you online. Don't you just feel special?

Boogie's Cyber Cafe, Kalamazoo Boogie's Cyber Cafe
Boogies was a long-time hangout in Kalamazoo, and has since become Ravenwood Cafe. This picture is really nifty, in my own humble opinion.

Allied Paper, during demolition, August 2004 A Funeral for Allied Paper
The first day I personally saw construction crews working at Allied, I ran out there with my camera. It was a horribly rainy and depressing day. Thanks to Bob Cavanaugh for his Photoshop skills, which brought out the rainy highlights.

Dodge Diplomat The 1980 Dodge Diplomat
It's hard not to have a soft spot in your heart for the green rust bucket which was the old Dodge Diplomat. This picture just doesn't do this car justice...in person, it looked so very much worse.

St. Augustine's Cathedral, Kalamazoo St. Augustine's Cathedral
This is a picture I quickly snapped of the Roman Catholic cathedral in Kalamazoo. I actually only took it as a quick test of an exposure setting on my Polaroid, but found I liked it enough to make it my desktop background for a while.

Room 13 Hotel Rooms, upstairs, Alfred E. Bike
A friend's father owns Alfred E. Bike, which is a bike shop here in Kalamazoo. The building used to house hotel rooms in the upstairs back when it was common to have hotels upstairs from local businesses. I took several pictures when I had the chance to visit the upstairs one day, and this one was just too creepy not to put up on the website.

East Hall, Western Michigan University East Hall at Western Michigan University
East Hall is a truly very nifty place. I've had my share of misadventures there, and it's always a fun place to hang out at.
