Shake It
Shake it like a Polaroid picture--Outkast, Hey Ya!
So, Sean Caron sent me some some Polaroid film he picked up, which I mentioned earlier. I've been slowly working my way through it, and scanned in some of them a couple of weeks ago, when the diablonet took a dive. I'd been meaning to put them up on the site, but had completely forgot till I just got a message on Audioscrobbler about Polaroids from Ben Angelo, asking about a new camera he picked up.
So, without further ado, here are some of the pictures I took.
Here's Chancellor Lee fixing his moped. This picture is very strange, with all the
white blotches all over. It was this picture which
lead me to figure out that my camera has a small light leak in its bellows, which I (eventually) fixed with some
electrical tape on the bellows. Polaroid bellows tend to hold up well, but I guess my particular camera saw
a lot of use.
Radiohead Dave was sitting outside Rocket Star, and so I snapped a picture of him,
though not before he noticed. I don't know if he's praying or what. Again, there's a light leak to the
left of Dave, but I think that complements this picture pretty well, since he's staring right at it.
About five inches of electrical tape later, we have the following pictures...
Dave Brzezicki, co-owner of 1977 Mopeds, was outside re-painting the entrance
to the new shop on the Kalamazoo Mall. The site was formerly the site of Planet Clare, which had the entrance painted
in a checker-board style. As an aside, the wood on the inside at the entrance was also painted, covered in years of junk.

There were a few more moped shots. On the left, I let
Matt Bonham take a shot with the Polaroid.
He's presently in a photo class, and taking lots of moped pictures for it. On the right are a few of the intrepid souls
who were out riding earlier this season, all hanging out at East Hall.

I also had the camera with me on one of the first nice days we had this spring, and I decided to take pictures of
people eating. I'm not really sure why now, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. On the left is
Nathan, Laura Jorgensen's roomate, and on the right is one of his friends, Steven.
That's about it for this update. Since I've still got about five or six packs of film, I'll likely try to take some pictures for around the site.
