This portion of the site is here to archives the bits and pieces of the Flo Zone that I helped with, the website, mostly. I've put this site here for two reasons. First, there are a lot of people who really liked the show, and our old website is long gone now. And, secondly, we put a lot of effort into capturing pictures and all sorts of stuff from the show to put on the website. I'd hate to waste all of that.
Several years ago, John Paul Lohrstorfer showed up at ZTV on a rather dreary Friday night. During the show, he came around to each of us, well, all of our best members, and asked them if they'd be busy that next Sunday night, and if they might be interested in starting a new TV show.
When we showed up at his house that night, I remember he started by talking to us about how hip-hop was blowing up. And how we could profit from this, both from an ego sense, and from a monetary sense. He said he wanted to start a show, called the Flo Zone, which would bring local hip-hop artists together in the Kalamazoo area. A number of us decided that we'd help him out, and, with this crew, we established a show that had something of a cult following in the Kalamazoo area.
